Kate Cunningham Fine Artist

About

Since graduating with B.A. Honours Degree from Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design in 2014 Kate has worked as a full-time artist and private tutor from her studio in Angus.

Fascinated by nature and her close connection to the Scottish landscape, she creates paintings inspired by the atmospheric and ephemeral qualities of clouds, land and sea. Vast skies are often the main feature in her work with small strips of the horizon to emphasise the grand scale.

Kate was commissioned by Gordon and Macphail to complete a painting in conjunction with the release of 75 yr old bottling of Mortlach Single Malt Whisky. The painting was then exhibited in the Royal Opera House in London and printed in a book written exclusively to be included with each bottle.

Kate's work has gained an enthusiastic following over the years and is currently exhibited in galleries across Scotland and held in many private collections worldwide.
